Many hundreds
of children from all parts of Israeli society get otherwise-unaffordable
access to quality home-care, home-care equipment and the best available
therapies. We have funded more than 25,000 para-medical therapy
sessions in the past four years (data updated as of March 1, 2008).
Keren Malki, the foundation's Hebrew name, is one family's effort to
honor the memory of a
much-loved
child. Malki's
life ended in an act of murder, driven by hatred and intolerance. She
was 15. This website and the Malki Foundation's work are a loving
memorial to her life.
Please
support our work.

Latet K'she'ata Ohev: To Give Out of Love

July 2007
Ezra, the Israel-based Zionist youth
movement, was Malki's second home. She grew up in its ranks and at
the age of 15 became a group leader with her "own" 9 year old girls
in the city of Maale Adumim.
The Ezra building, located just a couple
of hundred meters from the Roth residence in Jerusalem's northern
suburbs, is where hundreds of friends of Malki and her friend Michal
Raziel congregated to pray for their safety on
the day of the Sbarro
massacre, before it was learned that both girls had died in the
murderous Hamas terror attack in the center of Jerusalem that day,
9th August 2001.
Each year, at about the same time, each
graduating group of Ezra youth leaders organizes a memorial event
for the two girls in the form of a charity bazaar. Under the name
Latet K'she'ata Ohev (Hebrew for "To Give Out of Love"), this upbeat
charity-raising gathering attracts families from all over Jerusalem,
and especially from the Ramot neighborhood.
On Thursday 26th July 2007, the fifth
such bazaar took place - a great success. We have some snapshots below. Click on the
thumbnails to see the larger, high-resolution versions.
